William G.. King

Today we honor the life of a man who gave so much of himself to those he loved. A man of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a heart full of kindness—he was the kind of person you could always count on. A dependable and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He loved God with all his heart and found deep joy in serving his church. Volunteering wasn’t something he did—it was part of who he was. He believed in showing up for others, whether it was his family, his community, or a stranger in need.

He had a deep appreciation for the simple beauty of the world. He loved watching birds, studying their habits, listening to their calls. He spent hours reading about history, never losing his curiosity or sense of wonder.

He adored his wife. He loved his children fiercely. And when the grandkids came along, he found a new kind of joy—so proud, so tender, so full of love. No matter what was happening, he was always there: steady, supportive, ready to help.

To know him was to be reminded of what goodness looks like. He lived his life with humility and purpose, always putting others before himself. His absence leaves a hole that can’t be filled, but his memory—the love he gave, the lessons he taught, the strength he showed—will stay with us forever.

We miss you. We love you. Thank you for everything.
