WALTER GLENN RAY II
October 21, 1957 - January 9, 2019
Walter Glenn Ray II Passed away Wednesday, January 9th 2019, at the age of 61, in his home.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Robin, their 5 children and spouses, 10 grandchildren as well as his father Walter Glenn Ray , 5 siblings, sisters and brothers in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Walt was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved being surrounded by his family and cycling through town. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He took peace in the knowledge that he was sealed to his family for time and eternity through the atoning sacrifice of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Since moving to Bakersfield 35 years ago Walt has served on multiple community boards including the Interfaith Council, Rotary, Legacy Family Services, Boy Scouts of America and other non-profit organizations. He was a servant and friend to many and will be missed.
Services will be held at 5600 Panorama Dr, Bakersfield, CA 93306, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday, January 19th at 10:00am. A viewing will precede the funeral services at 9:00a.m.
