Teresa J. Massey

Our dearest mother and beloved grandma (gran) passed away on October 28th, 2022 at home peacefully in her sleep.

Teresa Jo Massey (Hanna) was born May 25, 1956 in Glendale Ca to Evander and Bonnie Hanna. She has one sister and one brother. Her family moved to Bakersfield and then to Oklahoma where she lived until she was an adult. Teresa was a very unique, caring, loving woman who had a humor like no one else. In 1988 she was finally able to marry the love of her life David Massey, and between the two of them had 5 beautiful children. She loved them all unconditionally. She the spent the rest of her life as a stay at home wife taking care of her kids. She did have a few jobs here and there but, her favorite jobs were always being a travel agent and mother. She always said her father called her a jack of all trades but a master of none. Little did he know she would go on to master being a mother and a gran. Teresa also grew to love volunteer work in her local community, along with volunteering for her local sheriff department in recent years. She was always trying to help her community as much as she could.

Teresa is survived by daughter Erica Hanna of Bakersfield Ca; Daughter Tanya Roscoe of Spring Branch Tx ;Son Douglas Hunter (Elaina) of Bakersfield Ca; and daughter Kayla Esry (Anthony) of Bakersfield Ca; Sister Karen Robinett of Noble Ok; Brother Frank Hanna (Mary) of Midwest City Ok; grandchildren: Alexandria Gill (Darius), Destiny Stockman, Ocean White, Tyler Hanna, Dylan Hunter, Piper Hanna, Elliott Hunter, David Hunter, Ethan Hunter, Gannon Esry, Rhett Esry, Noah Esry, and baby girl Esry; Great grandchildren: Jayden, Darius Jr, Ayanna, and Saffron. Plus lots of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Teresa is proceeded in death by her husband David Massey, Dad Evander Hanna, Mom Bonnie Hanna, daughter Jennifer Larkins, and great granddaughter Kayden Stockman.
