Robert Faye Snell
August 12, 1946 - April 6, 2024
Bobby was born in Memphis, TN August 12, 1946 to Raymond Floyd Snell and Mary Grace Long-Snell. He was the middle child of 2 siblings, Raymond and Renelda and later became an older brother to Wanda and Ralene.
Growing up, for a short time, he and his siblings were in an orphanage, but later Renelda and Bobby were rescued by their cousin Rosie. She became their “Aunt” who loved them like they were her own children and Bobby loved her like a mother.
He had four children, Angela Snell, Kerry Snell, Terry Snell, and Christopher Snell born 1971, but sadly died in 1972. He had five grandchildren, John Conrad, Nathan Conrad, Jeffrey Snell, Garret Snell, and Gunnar Snell. And five great grandchildren, Benjamin, Michael, Ryder, Eldon, and Emma Jean Conrad. He was super proud of them all.
Although many hardships and regrets, he finally felt like he was home when he married Celia Ruth Harting on December 7, 2016. They had lots of laughs and loved each other dearly. Celia lovingly accepted his fur baby Samantha.
He enjoyed finding treasures of years past with antiques, old books, relics, and artifacts. He loved history, visiting museums, and sharing his knowledge with others.
Bobby loved life and he liked to make people laugh. He enjoyed telling stories and making jokes. He was always positive even if he wasn’t feeling his best, he never let others see his pain. Even doctors and medical staff would come by his room just to hear his stories and laugh. Bobby will truly be missed by everyone who spent time with him.
