Peggy A. Barksdale

On November 9, 2025, Peggy left this world to be reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, her beloved husband Wayne.

Peggy was devoted to her Catholic faith and her family. Peggy's children and grandchildren were her heart. She was passionate about attending her childrens' sports games and continued the same tradition with her grandchildren. She loved to host holidays and gatherings with her family. She was known for her special spaghetti dinners and homemade pumpkin bread. Peggy cherished her Pismo Beach vacations with her family, and her granddogs always brought a smile to her face. She found joy in going to the horse races and collecting antiques and jewelry.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Wayne Barksdale, parents Margaret and Glen Coleman, sister Norma Carpenter, and grandson Chad Meyer. She is survived by her four children, Diana (Greg) Meyer, Todd (Clare) Barksdale, Lisa (John) Anspach, and Jill (Bob) Jefferson, along with 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her best friend Bonita.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 with the Rosary at 9:30am followed by 10am Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church. Peggy Anne Barksdale Bakersfield -
