Paul W. Roach

March 2, 1963 — November 21, 2025

Bakersfield

Paul William Roach passed away into the loving arms of his savior Jesus Christ on November 21, 2025 in Bakersfield CA.

Paul was born March 2, 1963 in Denver Colorado to Parents Danny and Beatrice. He spent most of his life in Bakersfield, California, which he considered to be home. Paul was an irreplaceable part of our big family of many siblings. He wasn’t perfect but man was he a great brother! He was such a caring soul. He was overly generous and would help anyone even if it meant he did without. He was fiercely loyal, to a fault. Had an incredible ability to forgive, even when people didn’t deserve it. Paul was an adventurer and a free spirt. He was musically talented and could play the harmonica almost as good as Clint Black. He was a great cook and an excellent carpenter. He was incredibly intelligent too. Could talk about the Bible and anything history related for hours and could do math off the top of his head. He liked watching old westerns and crime shows. He loved music, especially music from the 60s and 70s, the Denver Broncos and his little dog named Sister. He was super fun to talk to and hang out with. He told the funniest stories and could make you laugh at the drop of a hat. He had an explorers soul and traveled to many places around the United States by train. He hated politics, but loved people. He never had kids but his nieces and nephews were his kids. He loved every one of them so much. He loved Jesus and his family and always believed in the good in people. He lived a hard life but he never let that change his heart. We are so thankful that he is no longer in pain.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother Beatrice and father Danny, stepfather Charles, step grandfather John, brothers Don, Ron, and David, nieces April, Felicity and Tausha.

He is survived by his brothers Daniel and BillyJoe, Sisters BobbieJo, Ellene, Delene, Bobbi, Khristmas and Ronnie, and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews, his ex wife Janie, and step children and grandchildren he loved as his own. He will be missed so incredibly much.

A memorial service to honor Paul’s life will be held Monday December 8th at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery NE 3700 River Blvd. The family welcomes all who knew and loved him to attend.
