Mishelle
Earnshaw
April 1, 2026
“ Gone from our sight; but blooming in every flower”
Celebration of Life for Mishelle Earnshaw will be Monday April 20, 2026 at Kern River Family Mortuary Chapel 1900 N. Chester Ave. Bakersfield,Ca 93308 Starting at 6:00 p.m
Mishelle Lynn Earnshaw was born on November 26, 1962, to Jerry Harris and Linda Thomas. She attended Frank West Elementary and later graduated from North High School in 1981.
Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart, Lenny Sweet, on May 8, 1981. Together they welcomed their beloved son, Lee Sweet. Mishelle was a devoted mother, and her love and hard work showed in every chapter of her life. Later in life, Mishelle and Rich brought her cherished daughter, Mandi Goodin, into the world on August 4, 1992.
Mishelle continued to build a meaningful life, eventually completing pharmacy technician school, where she formed lasting friendships and strong connections with coworkers throughout her career. She later retired from Vons in 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, loyalty, and friendship.
On September 8, 2013, Mishelle married her beloved husband, Robert Earnshaw. Together, they built a beautiful blended family rooted in love, unity, and strength. Mishelle was the heart of that family—the planner, the gift wrapper, the one who made every holiday, birthday, and gathering feel special. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, included, and loved.
She is preceded in death by her stepson, Tye Earnshaw, and her beloved grandmother, Wyvonne Johnson.
Mishelle is survived by her children, Lee Sweet and Mandi goodin, her daughter-in-law Bianca, her loving husband Robert Earnshaw, her mother Linda Thomas, and countless friends and extended family who became family along the way.
Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren—her “bandwagon of heathens,” as she lovingly called them: Connor Earnshaw, Luke Earnshaw, Brynn Medina, Tate Allen, and Tanner Allen. She adored them beyond measure. Whether it was camping trips, swim lessons, football practices, games, or any school activity she could attend, she was there. Being “Mimi” was her favorite role and her proudest title.
Mishelle lived life fully and unapologetically. She never held back what she thought, and you always knew where you stood with her. She had a gift for walking into a room full of strangers and leaving knowing everyone.
After retirement, you could often find her enjoying life’s simple pleasures—sitting in her yard she loved so much, sharing laughter over a beer at a local bar, or playing a lively Saturday game of 31 with friends and family.
Mishelle’s memory lives on in the love she gave, the family she built, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered
