Michele Suzan Pine passed away unexpectedly at age 50 on July 4th, 2026, in Bakersfield, California.

Michele was born on July 6th, 1975, in Taft, California, to Flint V. Crane and Sydney Joan McCauley. She lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and empathy for others, and touched the lives of many through her journey with Mental Illness.

Michele is survived by her spouse, Jason; her daughters, Sydney and Ava Pine; her brother, Flint Crane; and her sisters, Leah Middleton and Staci Rubrecht, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her father, Flint V. Crane, and her adopted mothers, Toni Bamer and Belinda Bone Crane. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Sara Crane, and her sister, Letisha Gomez.

Those who knew Michele will remember her for her vivacious personality, empathy for others, encouraging attitude, and passion for sharing the ministry. She was a wonderful mother of two daughters, a substitute teacher, and a test proctor. Her legacy will be marked by love, compassion, service, and most of all, faith in her Lord Jesus. These things will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held on August 3rd 2026, at 10:00 am at Valley Baptist Church, Olive Drive Campus.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Fresh Hope at www.Freshhope.us, or stop and spread a kind deed to someone on the streets. Fresh Hope is a faith-based organization that helps people live their best lives despite a mental health diagnosis.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Albert Ma and Dr. Irene Valos for their many years of care, support, and compassion; also the communities of people at Valley Baptist Church and Canyon Hills, Fresh Hope and NAMI, and the many kind people in Bakersfield who showed care in searching for Michele when she was reported missing.
