Michael Yafchak – 83 years young, passed in his sleep on October 6th, 2021. Mike hailed from North Lake, Illinois but chose Bakersfield, California to live out is life and raise his family after he was discharged from the US Marine Corp. Shortly after his arrival, he met and married the love of his life, the former Carolyn Lamb. Mike was a quiet man who loved his family and friends with everything he had. He loved working on cars, riding motorcycles, bowling, the shooting sports and enjoyed camping in the great outdoors…though less camping in the last several years. LOL
Mike is survived by his wife Carolyn, Daughter Michelle, Grand Children Michael & Ariel, his Great-Granddaughter Jasmine and his Brothers Jerry and Bob.
He lived his life by a simple philosophy; take care of your family and friends, BE NICE, & if you don’t have something nice or useful to say…keep it to yourself!
You had a huge impact on many many lives and will be missed by all who knew you Pop. Semper Fi !
