McKenna Lee Cobb Dalton
June 2, 1984 – July 17, 2025
This world lost a truly remarkable soul.
McKenna Lee Cobb-Dalton was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. His laughter was contagious, his wit was sharp, and his heart was wide open to everyone he met. He had the rare ability to make people feel seen, heard, and understood—and it was impossible not to love him.
He was the most genuine, real person you could ever hope to know.
McKenna absolutely adored his wife, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and deep friendship. He often said she was his greatest joy, and the love they shared was evident to all who knew them.
He had a deep passion for history and was pursuing his dream of becoming a history teacher—a path that felt like a true calling. While working toward that goal, McKenna also worked at Bakersfield Country Club, where he found immense joy in the game of golf and in the friendships he made. He loved everything about the sport, the setting, and most of all, his BCC family.
Brilliant and endlessly curious, McKenna had an encyclopedic knowledge of the most unexpected subjects and could turn even the simplest conversation into something fascinating and hilarious.
He had so many dreams still ahead of him, and though his time here was far too short, his impact was lasting and profound. McKenna was a best friend, a loving husband, the best dog dad, and one of the kindest souls this world has ever known.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ralena Dalton. He is survived by his loving wife, Kayla Dalton; his father, Steve Cobb; his siblings, Charlotte Atkins, Crystal Haywood, and Connor Cobb; his step-siblings, Chris Keaveny, Sarah Fernandez, and Michael Keaveny; as well as countless nieces and nephews, and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He will be missed beyond measure, but never forgotten.
A service to celebrate McKenna’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 29th at 10:30 AM Bakersfield Country Club 4200 Country Club Dr, Bakersfield, CA 93306
The family is requesting everyone honor McKenna by wearing bright colors.
