Martha A. Daniels

Martha A. Sloan Daniels passed away at home with family on October 10, 2022 at the age of 97. Born December 3, 1924 to Fred M. Sloan and Adele Murphy Sloan at home on the family farm in Leavenworth County, Kansas. She and her siblings walked or rode their horse to the one room schoolhouse down the country road. Martha enjoyed country life, but after high school she moved to Redlands, California living with her aunt while attending college. Upon returning to Leavenworth she met and married Earl L. Daniels on April 25, 1947. In 1957 Earl, Martha and their three children moved to California.

Martha loved cooking and everyone loved her cooking! A gracious hostess, all were welcome into their home to talk, laugh, love and enjoy her meals. Her flowers and gardens were a very special part of her life. Evenings outside watering and tending to plants was always her joy.

Martha was known as mother, mom, nenaw, nono and grandma to all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers, and one sister. She is survived by one sister, one brother, three children, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, three step granddaughters, eight step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandchild.

Martha was the "apple of everyone's eye" and so dearly loved and so missed by all.

Burial for Martha will be October 28th , 2022 at 10 am at the Bakersfield National Cemetery
