Lyle was born in Oakland California to Ernest and Florence (Krull) Winterton.
He served the United States of America as a Marine. Kern County has been his home for nearly six decades. Lyle was employed as a Machinist for over 20 years.
A Committal Service with Full Military Honors will be scheduled at the Bakersfield National Cemetery.
