Lois Jean Regehr

Lois Jean Steiner Regehr, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2019. She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Ervin Regehr, Bakersfield; daughter, Pauline Bell (husband Gary Bell), Valencia; son, Allen Regehr (wife Diane), Visalia; and grandchildren Nathan Regehr, La Jolla, Ryan Bell (fiance’ Alissa Volosin), Redondo Beach; Jonathan Regehr (wife Kirsten), Ventura; Kevin Bell (wife Kaitlyn), Valencia; Andrew Regehr, San Diego; and Julianne Bell, Valencia. Also surviving Lois are her brothers, Byron Steiner and Donald Steiner, both of Pandora, Ohio.
Lois was born in Ohio and moved to California in 1948. She met her husband, Ervin, at Immanuel Mennonite Church in Los Angeles, and they were married in Pandora, Ohio at St. John Mennonite Church on December 23, 1949. They began their married life in the Los Angeles area, and then moved their young family to Delano in 1955. This is where they raised their family. Lois was involved in her church and children’s activities and was always a great support to her husband. After Ervin’s retirement, they relocated to Bakersfield in 1999. Her greatest joy, after her relationship with the Lord, was spending time with her family. Her family loved her dearly, and she will be missed, but they rejoice that she is experiencing eternal joy with the Lord. A memorial service is scheduled at Olive Drive campus of Valley Baptist Church, 5500 Olive Drive, Bakersfield 93308, on Monday , August 5, at 10:30 am.
