Lynn Hubbard drove home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spend eternity with Norm Hubbard her loving husband.
Everyone knew Lynn as a vehicle enthusiast and aficionado. She has been involved in the Bakersfield car scene for over 40 years. She shared her enthusiasm with everyone she met and made many close friends over the years because she never met a stranger. She was a vehicle appraiser, safety inspector for NSRA and was always at car shows around town, as well as nationally, receiving the “Longest Distance Award” numerous times from the NSRA. She also received the “Iron Man” for three years straight.
These last few years, she loved to travel with her dearest and best friend, Vivian Ramsey. They referred to themselves as “Thelma and Louise.”
Lynn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Norman Hubbard. She leaves behind her daughter, Laurie and son-in-law Michael Wheat. Son Loren and daughter-in-law Sabrina Hubbard. As well numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Coronado Baptist church 516 Norris Rd Bakersfield, CA 93308 on Friday October 16, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. With a Funeral to follow Saturday October 17, 2015 Coronado Baptist church starting at 11:00 a.m. At the Concluding of the Funeral a brief graveside will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery 3700 River Blvd where Linda will be laid to Rest.
