Khristy Ann Babb

Khristy Ann Babb of Bakersfield, California went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2021.

Born to Rodney and Sandy on March 6, 1976, in Hanford, California, she was a fun, happy, and loving baby. She was walking and on the go at only 8 months old. Khristy was raised in Tehachapi, California. Her childhood was spent with her animals, riding horses, and going on family vacations. She was a doting big sister to her brother, Michael. She could always convince him to play dress up or push her around in their wagon. Later, in her high school years, she could be found cruising her treasured Honda CRX with her best friends.

On January 1, 2001, Khristy gave birth to the first love of her life, Carlie Ann Mueller. Carlie’s favorite memories with her mom include special summer days and nights spent swimming, tanning, and eating Sno Shack. Khristy later met the second love of her life on November 15, 2007, Leah Kate Roberts. Leah enjoyed watching movies with her mom while snuggling and drinking their favorite milkshakes.

Khristy was passionate about music, especially “New Kids on the Block” and was often heard singing out of tune. She also had a great appreciation for 80’s music and loved watching movies from that decade with her girls. She always looked forward to football season with her fantasy football league, “The Three Pink Ladies.” One of her favorite activities was watching her beloved Raiders compete with her adored Uncle Timmy.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Al and Von King and paternal grandfather, Jessie Babb. She is survived by her daughters, Carlie Mueller and Leah Roberts, parents Rodney and Sandy Babb, grandmother Beverley Babb, brother Michael (Jocelyn) Babb, nephews Keller and Maguire, niece Quinn, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Khristy will be deeply missed by her family and countless friends. She was known for her kind, compassionate heart and never missed an opportunity to tell someone how much she loved her girls. She remained connected to the people that were important to her and never forgot to end a conversation with “I love you.” Gatherings won’t be the same without her unique laughter and warm hugs.
