John E. Young

Services will be on Wednesday March 15 at 1 pm at Kern River Family Mortuary Chapel . 1900 N. Chester Ave. Bakersfield, Ca 93308.  

John passed away peacefully at home on February 17^th, 2023 with his wife and daughter by his side, after a short battle with Liver Cancer.

He was a loving, kind, and passionate person. If you asked him for anything he said yes. If you needed his help, he showed up. If you wanted something he had, he gave it to you.

He enjoyed working on cars for anyone who asked him to. He loved to gamble and enjoyed going to Las Vegas as often as he could.

He loved his family and especially his daughter Tyanna Prince and 4 grandchildren, Kalib, Rylee, Bryson and Dakotah. He was an amazing father and grandfather. He loved his Wife Kellie Young and never let a day go by without telling her how much he loved her.

His mother Opel Brummett meant more to him than he could ever express to her. He will be missed by many including his Sisters, Mary and Kathy, his brother James and many nieces and nephews and of course his uncle Harvey.

His Brothers Mike and David were waiting for him at the heavenly gates along with many others when he arrived. Our hearts will forever be broken because he was called home so soon. He is now free and walking the streets of gold, smiling down at us all from above.
