John Cummings Jr.

EDWARD "JOHN" CUMMINGS May 11, 1935 – September 19, 2025Edward "John" Cummings passed away September 19, 2025, he was with his beloved wife Connie and family.

John was the fourth generation of Tehachapi's pioneer families. He was born May 11, 1935. He graduated from Tehachapi High School then he went on to attend and graduate from San Jose State College. After graduation, John entered the Air Force earning the rank of 1/Lt. After leaving the Air Force, he came back to Bakersfield becoming a financial advisor at Dean Witter then onto Morgan Stanley all inclusive of forty five years. Through these years John made several friends in Bakersfield and Tehachapi. In his spare time, he loved to travel the world.

John is survived by his wife, Connie and two brothers, Steven and Kim, and several nieces and nephews.

He will be memorialized at the Bakersfield National Cemetery on October 7, 2025 at 10:00 am. with full military honors.
