GEORGE EDWARD STROUD April 15,1944. - March 21, 2026

GEORGE EDWARD STROUD was born on 4/15/1944 in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was a beloved husband, brother, step-father, grandfather (Papa Ed), & great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Jewell, brother, Jim Stroud (Shirley); children Robert Ray Allison (Kathy), Roberta Fay Gafford, and Pamela Diane Guseman (Scott). Grandchildren are Bobby Allison (Kelly),  Steven Allison, Chad Gafford (Alicia), Rachel Muro (Rigo), Mitch Gafford, Hannah, Abby and Ethan VanHorn. Great-grandchildren are Lincoln Muro, Hazel Allison, Bodie Gafford, and Jules Parker.. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Ed was an Eagle Scout & volunteered to serve in the United States Air Force. He had an Accounting degree from the University of Missouri and worked for many years at Occidental Petroleum Co.

Ed was a very quiet man who loved family, travel, watching his favorite TV shows, vacation home in Pismo Beach, and his dogs, Lady and Riley. Burial Friday April 10, 2026 starting 1:15 p.m at the Bakersfield National Cemetery 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, Ca 93203 with full military honors.
