Geneva F. Durham

Geneva Durham was born on May 17th, 1938 in Pickins, Oklahoma. She went home to Jesus on April 12th, 2020 in Bakersfield, California at the age of 81. She left behind her sons Randall and Bob, her daughter, Charla, and her brother, Charlie. She will be reuniting with her son, Dennis, who passed before her. Geneva had numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who grew to consider her family. She dedicated much of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was passionate about her work and the patients she served. She was a loving caregiver to all, always willing to lend a hand to whoever may have needed one. Geneva was bold, funny, and never shy about telling you what was on her mind. She was a fighter until the end and she will be truly missed.

Her daughter Charla would like to extend a special thank you to Evergreen Acutecare for taking such incredible care of her "Mama". This facility is filled with some of the kindest people and their help cannot be overstated.

Viewing will beheld on Friday April 17, 2020 . At Kern River Family Mortuary 1900 N. Chester Ave. Bakersfield ,CA 93308. Starting at at 11 a.m ending at 1 p.m. Viewing will have 10 people every thirty minutes. No more than ten people in the building at a time. Thank you for your understanding.
