Was born on October 4, 1933, in Linares, Nuevo León, Mexico. He resided in Tulare County and passed away on May 1, 2025 in Bakersfield, California. From a young age, he embraced hard work, humility, and quiet strength. He spent much of his life laboring in the fields under the sun working with dignity and determination to give his family a better life. Though his hands were calloused, his heart was always soft.
He taught us the value of perseverance, of showing up every day, and of doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Though he was a man of few words, when he spoke, his words carried meaning. His wisdom reflected through his actions whether he was fixing something broken, offering his last dollar to someone in need, or simply being present during hard times.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Adam and Panchito, and his grandson, Danny. He is survived by his 11 children, as well as an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dad found joy in life’s simple pleasures playing his guitar, singing, and cherishing time with the people he loved.
Our hearts are heavy, but we are grateful for the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. We will carry his spirit with us always, in our work ethic, in the way we care for one another, and in how we face life’s challenges with quiet courage.
A memorial service will be held on May 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Kern River Family Mortuary Chapel 1900 N Chester Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93308.
All are welcome to join us in remembering and celebrating the life of this humble, hardworking man we were proud to call Dad.
