Edward Sturman

Edward Lee Sturman 5/25/1956 – 03/30/2021

Edward “Ed” Lee Sturman, 64, formerly of Bakersfield CA., passed away March 30th, 2021. He was born June 25th, 1956 to the late Evelyn Ruth (Wilson) Glenny and the late Albert Leroy Sturman of Pocatello Idaho. He was raised in Bakersfield where he lived and attended North High School, before moving to Austin, Texas where he attended and graduated from Del Valley High School. Ed enlisted in the United States Army in 1976 and served honourably as a field medic until 1979. He is preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Albert, foster parents Delos and Glenda Miller, sister Jacqueline Franco and brother John L. Hubbard III. Mr. Sturman is survived by his two sons, Josh Sturman and wife, Jessica, grandchildren Miranda and Dylan of N.J., and Alex Sturman of Melbourne Australia. Ed had a great love of animals and provided a home for many over the course of his life. He loved to fish and was blessed to spend time in his final days on earth fishing with friends. Ed’s passing leaves a great deal of sorrow in the hearts of those who knew him best. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Ed’s name to the Kern County Animal Shelter- Bakersfield. Mr Sturman will be laid to rest at the Bakersfield National Cemetery with private burial.
