Darlene Joy ( Thomas ) Mallory

Darlene Joy (Thomas) Mallory born April 7, 1947, left to be with her one and only Edward (Red) Mallory on January 28, 2024. Darlene was born in Gary Indiana, but spent most of her life in Bakersfield California. Bakersfield would be the place she would meet Ed. 

Ed and Darlene Mallory were a couple to envy, made it through the hard times and loved each other always. They were an example of love, companionship, and devotion. 

Darlene could be intense and often liked to have things her own way, more important than any of that though, was that she was one of the most caring and loving people you could have ever wanted to know. She would give you the keys to her car if you needed a ride, open her pantry if you were hungry, offer an ear if you needed to talk and for some, open her home if you needed a place to land. 

The world is a much emptier place with her not in it. One less person to find the good in people, one less person to build people up, and one less example to the world. 

 Darlene will be laid to rest with Ed at the Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin, California, on March 8, 2024, at 12:30 pm. in lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite animal charity
