It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She left this earth to meet her Lord & Savior on Monday July 28, 2025 after 87 years of a faith-filled life. Cynthia was a devoted servant of God & a loving mother and wife of over 64 years to her husband, Don Williams. She was known for her unwavering faith, kindness & willingness to help anyone in need.

Cynthia was born in New York City, New York on April 12, 1938. Her family relocated to California during her childhood. She graduated from Chino High School in 1956. While attending Chino High School she met the love of her life, Don Williams. In 1957 Don & Cynthia were married & went on to raise 3 wonderful children, Bob Williams, Rhonda Williams Richmond & Donny Williams.

In the summer of 1967 Don & Cynthia relocated to Bakersfield, CA where they were active in their children’s schools, sports & church activities. Her husband worked in the construction business & Cynthia worked as a receptionist & insurance biller for several dental offices. She later owned her own bookkeeping & tax preparation business as well as Arvin Video for many years.

She was active in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church while her children were growing up. She was a Sunday School teacher, directed the annual Christmas pageant & was active on the prayer team. Cynthia & Don later become active at East Hills Christian Church, followed by Valley Bible Fellowship & then Canyon Hills Assembly of God.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Don Williams, his parents Harold & Estella Williams & her parents Morton Berger & Ethel Monce, as well as her only sibling Linda Friedrich. She is survived by her children & their spouses: Bob & Barbara Williams, Rhonda & Jay Richmond, Donny & Lyn Williams. Nine grandchildren: Stephanie Corwin, Caitlyn Sunseri, Brent Williams, Taylor Williams, Courtney Richmond, Kyle Richmond, Caleb Richmond, McKenzie Richmond & Mason Richmond. Six great-grandchildren: Harrison Corwin, Grant Corwin, Claire Corwin, Ryder Sunseri, Chloe Sunseri, Aliyah Jones, Holden Richmond & one more to arrive November 2025.

Her celebration of life will held on Friday August 15, 2025 at 11am at Canyon Hills Church in the Summit Room 7100 Auburn St, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
