Corey Alan Morrow, age 25, passed away at home, December 26, 2014 in Bakersfield, California. Born in Bakersfield on February 11, 1989, Corey attended local elementary and middle schools and graduated from Liberty High School in 2007. Following high school, Corey lived and worked at various times in Bakersfield, California, Orem, Utah and Brooklyn, New York.
Corey's interests included snowboarding and wakeboarding, traveling and music, including self-taught guitar, piano and drums. During his time in New York, Corey represented several custom suit manufacturers and his clients included celebrities and notable politicians. Contemporary men's fashion was his passion.
Corey was preceded in death by his grandfather, James William Oliver. He is survived by his parents, Alison Daniel (Mike Daniel) and Michael Morrow (Sherry Morrow), sisters Courtney Castellino (Matt) and Cristin Morrow, step-brother Lance Corporal Dakota Long, Grandparents Maureen Oliver, William Boggs and Marilyn Oliver, Keith Morrow, Sr., Leona Morrow, niece Rilynn Erbacher (her uncle CoCo) and daughter Scarlett Lyn Ridenour. Corey's large extended family includes many uncles and aunts, cousins and a special sister from Germany, Katrin Mielcarek.
A Celebration of Life for Corey is scheduled Saturday, January 3rd at Sandrini's Italian & Basque Restaurant, 1918 Eye Street, Bakersfield at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to share in remembrance and celebration of Corey's life. Please no flowers; your presence is gift enough.
