Christine Susan Nord

Christine Susan Nord, January 27, 1950 – July 29, 2013, beloved wife, mother & grandmother went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29th 2013 at the age of 63. Christine was born in Bakersfield, California to Otis & Margueritte Welch. Christine was preceded in death by her only brother, Richard Welch, who passed away last July.

She married Wesley Austin Nord in Bakersfield, CA on August 16, 1969. They will have been married 44 years this August, and were as much in love as the day they married. Together they raised four children; Sherry (Wesley) Hawks, Julie Nord, Austin (Tonya) Nord and Curtis Nord.

Christine was a beautiful, sweet, and generous person who loved to laugh and was a true inspiration to everyone she met. Her hobbies included quilting, traveling and spending time with her family. The welfare and happiness of her family and friends were the only things that really mattered to her.

She will be greatly missed. She survived by her husband, her four children and their spouses, her five grandchildren and numerous other family members.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM - Friday August 02nd 2013 at Kern River Family Mortuary – 1900 North Chester Ave. Bakersfield, California.
