Obituary

Charles Emmett Duncan

July 9, 1951 – March 18, 2026

Charles Emmett Duncan, age 74, passed away on March 18, 2026, in Bakersfield, California, surrounded by his loving family. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Charles served his country with honor and carried his patriotism throughout his life.

Charles was a dedicated and hardworking man. He had a quick wit and a jokester spirit, bringing laughter to all who knew him. His favorite pastimes included fishing, watching western shows, and never missing Jeopardy.

Above all, Charles’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved son, Jason Duncan, and his cherished grandson, Parker Duncan, along with his sister Kay and brother David. Jason and Parker were the light of his life, and he loved them deeply.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheila, who passed away in October 2018. He now joins her in eternal rest, together again. Charles will be remembered for his humor, his strength, his service, and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him.

Graveside Service with Full Military Honors Friday, April 3, 2026 – 10:00 a.m. Bakersfield National Cemetery 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203
