Carol A. Johnson

d. September 2, 2022

Carol Ann Johnson suddenly and unexpectedly went to be with her Saviour on September 2, 2022. Carol was born August 14, 1948 in Whitter, CA to Phyllis and Phillip Marty. Her family moved to Bakersfield, CA in her early childhood and Bakersfield was where she called home.

After graduating from high school, Carol found her career path working for the Kern County Clerk's Office and Kern County Supervisor Courts for 35 years. It was there she developed close friendships with her coworkers.

Carol married Fred "Duce" Johnson February 18, 1978 and they remained married for 44 years until the time of her death. Carol always loved that the Johnson's were a large close knit family that enjoyed getting together often and had many musical people that would put on jam sessions for all occasions.

Family was always close to Carol's heart and a priority to her. When she married, Carol was blessed having part of the raising of Duce's two children Scott and Alicia Johnson. Over the years the family grew and Carol was always sharing stories about Football games, special awards and career accomplishments for her children and grandchildren. Her love knew no bounds. Carol is survived by her husband Fred Duce Johnson, children Scott Johnson and wife (Cynthia) and daughter Alicia Johnson-Kuhry, grandchildren Jessica, Ty and Dylan and 3 great grandchildren.

Carol is further survived by her siblings, Ron Marty, Diana Marty (Dumin), Shawna Marty (Davisson), Julie Marty (Pearson) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will beheld on Tuesday September 20 , 2022 10am. at Coronado Baptist Church 516 Norris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93308.
