CARL "PETE" PETERSON
July 9, 1928 - November 28, 2020

Carl "Pete" Peterson peacefully joined our Lord and his family in Heaven on Saturday, November 28, 2020 with his devoted wife of 70 years, Nancy, and his children by his side. Carl is remembered for his dedication to his country and community for having served alongside the Greatest Generation in WWII/Korea, working for many years with PG&E, being a founding member of All Saints, and volunteering with the Guild House and the Gleaners. Growing up as an only child, met his wife Nancy (who was also an only child) and together they grew their family and taught their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren the value of family, hard work, education, and faith. Lifelong memories of summer cabin trips, holiday gatherings with church family, uniting with relatives, sailing trips, and endless other sweet stories we will continue to recall and share were made thanks to our patriarch Carl. During this season of thanks, our family is filled with so much gratitude. We thank All Saints Anglican Church, Honor Flight, Rosewood, and Hoffman Hospice. The lifelong friends we have made would not have been possible without our hero Carl, and we are forever grateful for the love he showed all of us. We will continue his legacy through sharing his story and his sweet demeanor and the values of faith_ family, and service he instilled in us. He was such a kind soul to all and we will strive. to continue his loving spirit. His legacy will continue on through those who he is survived by including his loving wife, Nancy Peterson; his children, Warren Peterson (Jeanne), Lucia Haney, and Carla Pearson; grandchildren, John Anderson (Corina) Joan Smith (Craig), Erin Black (Scott), Andrew Pierce, and Lindsay Haney; and numerous great grandchildren that brought him so much joy. Carl loved sharing in the accomplishments and joy of his family, extended family, and friends. He will receive Military Honors in a private ceremony at the Bakersfield National Cemetery. To honor our hero, donations can be made to All Saints Anglican Church or to Honor Flight Kern County, two organizations he cherished. With love and gratitude, the Peterson family.
