Caddie was born in Texas in 1942 to Caddie and Thelma.  He has two sisters, Wanda and Lois Ann.

 

He joined the United States Navy where he was assigned to the Admirals staff.  He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 25 years.  And then the California Highway Patrol, where he retired from in 2013, with 25 years of service.

 

He loved his family, horses, fishing, music and the beach.  He was also a San Francisco 49ers fan.

 

He is survived by his loving wife Sue, daughter Michele and husband Danny, son Bruce and wife Shelly, granddaughters Amber and husband Greg, Chelsey and husband Joe, grandson Cody and wife Taylor, great-grandchildren London and Daltyn, stepchildren Stacy and husband Fred and Sean and wife Vyann, and step grandchildren Ryan, Cyndi, Kimmy, Madison, Marissa, Alex and J.R., and sister in law Vivian Leigh (Cookie).  And numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was so very loved by all of us and such a blessing to us all.  He is in our hearts and memories always.

Burial will be August 11, 2023 at 10:45 Bakersfield National Cemetery with full military honors.
