Kenneth Earl Forry

September 10, 1935 — May 21, 2013

Kenneth Earl Forry September 10, 1935 - May 21, 2013 Survived by three children Matt Forry and wife Lisa, Robert Forry and wife Chris, and Lisa White and Husband Clint; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was born in Los Angeles 1935 and moved to Redding, California for his high school years. After high school he married, joined the Airforce and was stationed at Edwards Air Force base. With honorable discharge, he moved his wife and 3 children to Bakersfield where he began working in the office sales industry in 1966. In 1987, he opened Ken Forry's office supply and maintained a successful business until retirement in 2006. He was the kind of man whose handshake was as good as his word. He was old school. The loyalty and hard work that he showed to his customers was returned to him with their continued business and friendships for over 40 years. His gift was his character; he always lifted the spirit of others with his complimentary nature and quick wit. He was a humble man. He lived by simplicity and honesty. He was strong willed, practical and extremely reliable. He was never on time, ALWAYS 15 minutes early. Our unique and one of a kind father and grandfather will be so missed. Gone is our family rock and strength from this life, but not gone from our hearts. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Kern Veterans Memorial. Po Box 11325, Bakersfield, CA 93389.
